Owner and Head Horse Trainer

Katherine Deichmann was born into the horse world in 1990. Katherine grew up a horse trainer’s daughter and granddaughter to a veterinarian; she feels beyond privileged to grow up devoting her life and education to animals, horses specifically. Working with students and horses every day is not only her passion but also a childhood dream she has pursued. With a wonderful family, including her husband Tyler Bloom and three kiddo’s, Lauren, Harrison, and Callan. Katherine absolutely loves helping horses and riders build lifelong partnerships through individualized goals and pursuits. Her philosophy is that horses should live as horses. Katherine would be delighted to share her love of the equestrian sport with you, your kids, or your whole family.

The Equestrian Facility is a recognized USHJA Riding Academy in Texas! Also, Katherine Deichmann is certified only in Hays County by the UHSJA and the American Riding Instructors Association  for Level II Hunt Seat and Level II Show Jumping. We take safety very serious at Sunny Fox Farms, which is why Katherine is also Safe Sport and Concussion Certified.

Merit Badge Counselor

Jordan, a lifelong equestrian and horse enthusiast, was introduced to the world of horses by her mother, who shares the same passion. From an early age, she embraced the equestrian lifestyle and feels grateful for the opportunities that pushed her to develop as an equestrian! Alongside her equestrian pursuits, Jordan also has a passion for teaching and holds a position as an Adjunct Government Professor at Austin Community College. Jordan firmly believes that the skills and experiences gained from being an equestrian extend far beyond the barn or show ring.

Jordan’s journey began with Katherine as a member of the Texas State Equestrian Team, starting as a Novice rider and progressing to an Open rider. Also, honing her skills in showmanship on the AQHA circuit, developing a keen sense of elegance and subtlety in her riding. Following her graduation from Texas State University, she acquired Cady, a beautiful Thoroughbred hunter mare, and continues to train and compete under the guidance of Sunny Fox Farms.

Jordan has always been a positive and fun influence in the horse barn. Her drive to learn more and improve each ride with her horse makes her a wonderful student to teach. Her kind and easy going attitude, degree in teaching, and ability to push others to be their best makes her a valuable part of our lesson program for our upcoming horse crazy kids. It’s important to realize that we take safety very serious at our facility. For this reason, Jordan is also Safe Sport and Concussion Awareness Certified. We love Jordan and her attributions to Sunny Fox Farms!

Horse Camp Director

Lauren Everett, the Horse Camp Director at Sunny Fox Farms, embarked on her equestrian journey at the age of 8 and immersed herself in all things horses and riding. As a teenager, she discovered her passion for shaping and educating young equestrians while working at horse camps. Lauren cherishes the opportunities provided by her trainers over the years, which have allowed her to grow as an equestrian. Currently, she attends Texas State University and proudly represents the Texas State equestrian team.

Joining Sunny Fox Farms as part of the Equestrian Team, Lauren initially excelled in the Saddle Seat discipline. Lauren seamlessly integrated into the Sunny Fox Farms family, thriving in our horse-crazy and enjoyable atmosphere. Lauren’s eagerness to learn the hunter jumper sport is a dream come true for any instructor. She possesses a genuine passion for continuous improvement as a horsewoman, evident in her daily efforts at the barn. This passion extends to her students as well.

In her role as Horse Camp Instructor, Lauren imparts her knowledge with kindness, patience, and a deep understanding of first-time riders. Of course, she knows the importance of safety and is Concussion Awareness Certified.  She brings a fun, creative, and assertive approach to her lessons, ensuring the utmost safety while nurturing each child’s growing love for horses. Lauren’s ability to make camp days exciting, educational, and suitable for riders of all levels is commendable. As a warm, encouraging, and friendly face, she warmly welcomes newcomers to Sunny Fox Farms, making their initial experiences at our equestrian facility memorable and enjoyable.
